The illusion is in the part that you think that the diagonal line is fully straight. watch very good and you see that its not. in the second immage the line goes perfectly in the corners of the squares. on the first it goes just a little bit below it. because the lines are thicker however you dont see it. (find one with thinner lines and you easily spot it) but it works for distracting. however, some transparency on the sides or a nice border would be better. (thats why its not a 10)
