One of the biggest turn offs for me when considering a weapon replacement is when the animations don't point the gun at the crosshair. Some animation sets are worse then others, but, to be honest, this is one of the worst I've seen in this regard.

Photobucket

See how, by following the edges of the weapon, and even the sights themselves, it makes it clear that the gun isn't being pointed in the right direction. In this replacement in particular, you don't really even need the lines I've drawn. It is very clear regardless.

In future, when making animations, take some time and make sure that the gun is actually pointing at the center of the screen. An easy way to do this is to make sure that the idle position of the gun is aligned to the X and Y axis in whatever program you use to make the animations. Even if it is off by a few degrees, it can really throw off the final, 2D orientation.

I have to admit, I agree. The gun is way off the crosshair.

He's no fun, he fell right over.

This is actualy a pretty decent work.
The fire anims are a little exagerated, and the draw is too plain(I dun like it like that).
Texture is awesome nuff said.

Pros: Looks okay, animations are fluent, and the model is average.
Cons: Bolt is on the wrong side, Model is not aligned with the cross hairs, textures could be of higher quality as well.
Improvements: Fix the above mentioned things and it will be usable.

I think the reload looks decent. Draw and fire animations could use lot more work
