Author's Readme/Notes:

I changed the lightwarps to what i like. Enjoy

Ok. I have uploaded a new version.

Update:

-I made some new lightwarps.
-Changed the name.
-MOAR SCREENIES

Oh and the render and the v_model screenshot is the older version.

And if you don't like the title could someone please suggest one. I have no idea >_> i just took one from the mean (;() assessment.

If you want more screens, I'll get some.

PS: If you don't like the effect on the hands (picture 1). Just delete the file named 'hand_lightwarp'. Oh remember that that pic is old and i may make a new one. Just see and try and see what fits you.

Thanks Ampersand for the new title :P

i did something im not proud of...

i set -dxlevel to 80... and i took the whole team fortress 2 out of team fortress... its not cartooney, it looks more realistic. will these work even if -dxlevel is set to 80?

Pros: Looks Nice!
Improves my FPS by a noticeable amount (40 to 60) ver Valves default one.
Cons: Viewmodels aren't very noticeable (although that may just be me)
Improvements: None
Notes: I have not played the beta so I cannot comment on how close it is to the beta's shading.

I just want the lightwarp's for the gun's not the players just the weapons. What do I need to remove inorder to do this?

I think you need to go into the materials folder, then models and then delete the player folder. I think thats it.

Pros: looks really good, especially with the tf2 style.
Cons: Can be a bit light in bright areas, but its hardly noticeable since no areas are full bright.
Improvements: none!
Notes: incredibly good job!

Saw that to with someone other lightwarps. Might experiment with them. But i didnt bother because they don't show up in vmt files, as you said.

Well, I did some more digging, and I found a couple of things.
It appears that engineer_hands_lightwarp.vtf (in materials/models/player/engineer) is identical to hand_lightwarp.vtf, but a couple of places reference it (for example, the .vmt for the pyro's hands).
Also, buildables have their own lightwarp as well (materials/models/buildables/sentry1/sentry1_lightwarp.vtf). I don't know whether you want to much around with that. Looking at it, it seems to be similar to the hands, but they're not identical. I'm not familiar with how lightwarps work, so for all I know they're completely different.

hmmm... thanks.. I'll look into that and i might update this submission.
