Animated Blutsauger

VIDEO PREVIEW!

When I saw the little pulse symbol on the
gun, I thought it was a pulse meter that
was just painted on. Then I realized it
was drawn with blood.

Well, after that embarrassing realization,
I decided to make my first animated
skin with an actual animated
pulse meter. It's nothing special,
but I think it's pretty nice.

I actually like this a whole lot better than the original blutsauger skin. Very nice work with the animated VMF. Keep up the fantastic work.

Each frame is about 1mb due to the whole skin being animated per frame. So the smoother you want it to be, the bigger the skin is.

For example, I made my own version with a pulse meter, and at 30fps, two seconds of animation net me a 65mb file.

I personally wouldn't mind the filesize. Let's say one with just three times as many frames as this one (so 15?) would still be much smoother looking.

That's exactly what he's talking about, and I agree. The pulse is only like 4-5 frames, and looks sort of choppy because of that. If it were a bit smoother, it'd be pretty sweet, but the choppiness of it actually makes it kind of distracting, imo.

The "Animations" arent changed, but the little pulseing thing on the side is now animated instead of static.

Pros: I good idea, definitely. I will probably really use it one day.
Cons: None really, definitely a cool skin
Improvements: Make the pulse a little more fleshed out, maybe make the line have more of a bump to it? like this -
/\
-----\/ \/-----------

Or something, just a more detailed line I guess

Notes: I love the little pulse on the normal gun, so this looks even better :)

Animation: The animation itself needs work. It needs more frames if possible.

Im in a good mood so im going to refrain from calling you a dumbass.

Very cool reskin. Downloading now.

I think it'd look a little more detailed if you added a couple small buttons or something on the sides, as well as trying to make it look like a real pulse meter.

Regardless, good job!

Currently it doesn't have a pulse-o-meter on the world model, so there would be no issue with placing a flat line on the world model end of story.

Watch the video.

at the end, look really closely. you can see it pulsing when it is on the ground.

The V and W texture is a shared File.
That means they are the same.
