Figured out the problem.

It was because not all the files were included. They are supposed to be:

w_stickybomb_blue.vmt
w_stickybomb_blue.vtf
w_stickybomb_blue_noalpha.vtf
w_stickybomb_normal.vtf
w_stickybomb_red.vmt
w_stickybomb_red.vtf
w_stickybomb_red_noalpha.vtf
w_stickybomb_selfillum.vtf

For some reason, your release only has the "noalpha" parts. Taking out the "noalpha" bit did the trick for me.

Also, since not everything is in there, this only works for DirectX 9.0+. I was running DX 8.1, but as soon as I switched to 9.0 it worked fine (without renaming the files).

The colors were all there, but they just weren't quite as bright as in the screens. Did you only modify the "noalpa" files, or do you have some more stowed away somewhere?



Ah, i didnt realise you were on a lower DX, only the ones that i posted are required for the skin on DX9.

Mine are brighter perhaps because i have bloom enabled.

Simply a skin nothing more, that'd be like saying the Aimpoints on GArands for DoD is cheats, it's irritating yes, but not illegal.
