This is a Game Mode I have specifically designed for TF2, based on the epic battles in BF2142's final fights on the Titans.

Gameplay instructions:
-Each team has control of a single Primary Power Core and three Secondary Power Cores. Each team fights to destroy the opposing teams Primary Power Core. The Primary Core, however, remains invulnerable until the three Secondary Power Cores have been destroyed.
-When all three Secondary Power Cores have been destroyed, the invulnerability on the Primary Core will be lifted, and an alarm (included) will be triggered to single the last lie of defense.

There are further instructions and set-up suggestions in the read me file.

I tend to have a lot of fun coming up with different game modes, so I'll be sure to come up with some others as well. Not to mention, but I plan on releasing a prefab from my KotH mode soon.

No credit will be required.

Side Note:
I would have placed this in a prefab category for Game Modes, but a mod deleted before I had the chance to place it there.

After having played on a server for a while today to suddenly see my game mode in play (all be it a poorly designed map) I've come to the realization that the game mode can be some what complicated to some people. I cannot stress how important it is that you place some kind of instructions into your maps, or make it impossible to come into contact with the primary core without first having destroyed the secondary cores. This is only suggestion, as the server I was on had people wondering what to do until the server finally ended.

I'm trying to properly figure out some other entities to make this game mode easier to understand.

I've finally come up with a floor plan that I feel will accent this play mode well. Now the only wuestion is if I will finish it.

Pros: An awesome new gametype, I only wish that Valve would use this in a future map.
Cons: The only con I can think of (and this really isn't your fault) is that there isn't a custom HUD or way to tell the life of the Core so both teams know the status of those Cores.
Improvements: None.
Notes: I and a friend are working on a custom HUD for this gametype.


Sorry it took so long to tank you for your post. Been busy with my Game and Simulation Programming classes. With that said, I was working on replacement models, and got very far; however, I ultimately ran out of time to finish them. My goal is to finish the new models, but it may not be soon.

I wish i could do a HUD; hell, I wish Valve would actually mae it so that we could define HUDs with info and what not from with in Hammer. Yout hink they would, considering they support mods so much.

Ironically, I came up with this during Physics class when we were studying how to create a timperal distorted wormhole, when I saw this idea on someone's computer. Fancy it being you.


If yo believed that, I worry for you. I actually just came up with the idea when I was scribbling in my Calculus based University Physics class. At the moment, I am currently working on making quality models for the mode, but the project has been halted due to my current Game and Simulation Programming studies at school.

Note: There has been some models canceled, but the core and node design are pretty much final, I just need to texture them and get them into game. My first import was a complete failure due to limitation of XSi.

I'd suggest putting the secondaries in separate rooms from the primaries. Not that it matters for the prefab.

Yeah, I may get mappers block here and there, but entity placement is one of my big positives.

This reminds me that I need to update this, along with integration of some of Fearlezz's ideas.

I'll post it as a new one to add it to the studio.
