FPSB allows any registered user to submit news, however, it must be authorized by a news moderator before it will appear on the front page. News is authorized when it meets the following criteria:
Relevance
The news post is related to FPS games or FPS customization. In the case of Studio news, the news post is related to important studio developments.
Professionalism
The news post exhibits an academic standard of spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure, written in an impartial reporting style.
Sourced
The news post references all sources with hyperlinks. Quotes are placed within DIV tags where possible.
Important Notes
The news moderators can be found here. News that does not meet or come close to meeting the criteria will be trashed. In the case of Studio news it will only appear in the Studio profile and not in the Studio index.
Moderators who make significant alterations to a syndicated news post in order for it to meet our criteria are permitted to take control of the submission.
In the case of news duplication, the post of the highest standard of authorship will be chosen and the rest trashed. In cases where two news posts have an equal standard of authorship, the oldest will be chosen. Before you submit news, be sure to check that it hasn't already been submitted!
