Exemplary
– adjective
1. worthy of imitation; commendable.
2. serving as a model.
The Exemplary Feedback system is a hybrid of the current thumb and former cLvL systems that attempts to encourage detailed, constructive feedback in submissions. A maximum of 5 posts in each submission can become exemplary.
Benefits of Exemplary Feedback
There are a number of benefits to achieving exemplariness:
- Any assessment by the poster automatically becomes a critic assessment, even if the poster isn't a critic. Critic assessments are separated from other assessments and given greater prominence (but they still count the same).
- The post is made prominent in the feedback area by a green tick icon.
- Points are awarded to the poster.
- The member's EF counter statistic is incremented.
How to attain Exemplariness
You can attain exemplariness by making detailed, honest but polite feedback and testing a submission before assessing it. Don't be afraid to give a hard assessment, as provided your feedback is justified, you have a higher chance of achieving exemplariness and critic status. Moderators should read the Exemplary Feedback ModDoc for guidelines on bestowing exemplariness.
Exemplariness and Critics
There is no automatic relationship between exemplary feedback and critic status. Typically a user is promoted to a critic after they exhibit enough exemplary feedback, but there is no automatic threshold. Critics are promoted manually by moderators (and demoted in the same way). |
