A video has been released recently of STALKER: Clear Sky. This is not another gameplay vid, but an interview with GSC's PR manager, Oleg Yavorskiy.
Before this video, there was a Gamespot exclusive that talked about things we already knew in the last news item, and told us something we didnt'. Namely, the new artifact-finding system. The artifacts a year ago were invisible because of different conditions and wavelengths of radiation in the Zone. To find them, you are going to have to use an artifact detector that reveals their locations if they're nearby. You can only hold a sidearm such as a pistol while the detector is in your other hand, making for an interesting system.
In this video Oleg goes into more detail on the story in Clear Sky, and talks about some very interesting ideas. One of these ideas concerns vehicles in Multiplayer, although co-op is not mentioned, unfortunately. The focus on the game will be faction wars and allow you to join different factions and rise through the ranks. A-Life will also be fully activated and unhindered in this game, unlike in Shadow Of Chernobyl where boundaries for it were set.
Some in-game footage is also shown, demonstrating the improved graphics. Also, if you take a close look at the weapon, it might closely resemble one that some of you used in the leaked MP 2215 beta before STALKR's release. Namely, the LR-300 is using the beta 2215 skin that was much more realistic and better done. Hopefully, this means GSC plan to reintroduce realistic weapons back into the game before THQ made GSC change them to be fake.
Clear Sky looks very promising, and will hopefully turn out to be the STALKER that GSC promised 6 years ago. Think of Shadow Chernobyl as a demo of what's about to come...
