Valve has released a small update for Left 4 Dead improving some small bugs and the multiplayer component of the game. Here's the full changelog of the update. Changes - Removed the "Are you ready to play Versus?" confirmation - Fixed a crash when using mouse wheel or keyboard to select Campaign chapters - Fixed sv_steamgroup_exclusive servers advertising for public lobbies - Restored the ability to vote for a new campaign in Versus mode

it's called "being punished for leaking their meet the spy" or they think people will use wall-hacks, aim-hacks.etc when they already made that and it works online -.-, and how is it "an unfair advantage to other players" yo use custom content!?

Since no one else will give you a straight answer, I'll just give it for everyone.
I'll compare it to CS:S. The easiest things to do were to change the terrorist's skins to bright red, the CT's to bright blue, and make the smoke cloud texture transparent, rendering the smoke grenade useless.

Same things can be done for L4D. It's always the cheater who ruin it for the rest of us.

cheating in l4d is already useless as it is, and people already made aimbots for it that work...so whats the point of disabling custom content?

I gave the point. I just don't see why Valve continues to go by that point.

Because our "modded" guns will look bigger than theirs so they will flee in fear.

who ever said anything about THEM being able to see our skins? i dont see anything wrong with our guns being bigger.

So true, i never thought of that one

but ya bringing up a major point, most of all the custom skins made for source games end up bigger then the originals so therefor giving a handicap to ppl who use them, other then a couple of models
