x 0 So I played Battlefield Heroes a few times over at NVISION and PAX and I was really underwhelmed. They gave out the beta codes for free and by the truckloads, so I'm assuming everyone has one, but in case you don't, if you're interested, post a comment here and I'll give this extra one away later in the day. I didn't really like the game, but you might.

x 0 So I want to buy the Alone in the Dark sound track, and it's 14 bucks at amazon.com or 19 bucks at Barnes and Noble. Both have a 3 dollar standard shipping (3 days) I have a 20 dollar gift card for Barnes and Noble and a 15% off coupon code for one item at BN. The final totals are (after taxes & shipping) $20.70 at BN and $16.97 at Amazon. Now the dilemma is where I buy it from. Yes, the obvious choice at first glance is Amazon, but my gift card is for Barnes and Noble. If I use it for BN, I'll drain it dry with little cost to my actual funds. If I buy from Amazon, I get it for cheaper but I must use my actual money rather than this nice convenient gift card. I don't know if saving the gift card is worth much, because a little recon browsing and I'm finding BN to be fairly inflexible with their prices and fairly expensive as well, so I don't know if I'd want to come back to BN. Still, the BN is a 20 dollar value as opposed to spending 14 in cash... Where to get it from!? :(

Can I place NPC entities around? Is there anything that doesn't work with Portal? Are all HL2 props accessible by Portal or not everything like CSS?

x 2 And by god it's one of my favorite FPS games today. Oh sure, it's got wall walk, spirit walk, and ding portals, but thats not exactly the main praise I'm giving it. I loved the level design for the most part. It compliments the entire gravity-altering scheme very well, and I applaud them for that. My favorite thing is probably what other gamers care least for. The emotion and dialogue in the single player campaign was awesome. I could really sense the "rage" and really got the idea what the main character was feeling the whole time. This is a work of art. Much like movies or books, they try to make you feel as one with a character sometimes. This does that job perfectly. Aside from immersion, it does a great job of actually showing you whats going on. I played it through the end, seeking vengeance, just as the main character does too. Prey deserves praise, and I hope other games may follow in its footsteps. Games are an art, and Prey proudly demonstrates that.
