I've been reading about the prices and performance of SSD's (solid state drives) lately and I think the price for size/performance is ridiculous. I can't think who in their right mind would pay $6000 for 256GB of HD space. They like to quote about windows booting time, but I can only imagine that with the use of upcoming MRAM (magnetic random access memory) which promises to keep info in ram after shutoff that such things will be irrelevant for SSD's by the time they become worth the price.

Well guys, I'm afraid I'll be suspiciously absent for a few weeks. No worries, I'll get all the stuff done I promised I would like the Fire and Ice pack, the G36X and the Firehawk. I may not even be on the site for those weeks also. what can I say, sometimes real life gets in the way of our fun. ;)

Well, now that the first skin of i studios is out and an unqualified success, I'm going to take a few days off and play the second episode of Sam and Max season 2, a few games of Pontifex II and then plan out my next mod which I can honestly say will be that G36c I started a while back. It will be on King Friday's animations for Aug and AK47. ;)

Well, many people ask me when I'm doing something new, but to be honest I just don't know. The problem is that I don't play CSS anymore and it seems that every game Valve releases lately has been modified to make it harder to mod than the game before it. I really wanted to do modding for DOD:S, but there was always that freaking "broken wrist" issue and the game was period specific which didn't make it the best realm for crazy mods. Now with TF2, I can't even open extracted VTF files in photoshop anymore without the whole vtf to tga junk and again, the game is so specific, it doesn't allow anything truly creative. I guess what I really need it CS2 or whatever it is that we all know Valve is working on to replace the running joke that is CSS, because let's be honest here to eachother, after seeing what Valve is capable of creating when they want to, the fact that they took the most widely played FPS game in history and gave us the mess that is CSS, we all ought to be offended to the breaking point over this broken ass game. Well, rant over, but at least you understand my thinking at this time. I just need something to get excited about again.
