Kalashnikov doesn't mean anything. it's the last name of Mikhail Kalashnikov, the original designer of the AK-47. It is very hard to take someone who thinks the AK-74 uses a wooden magazine seriously.

Posted by hotboxking Does it say ak-74 on the factory manual and gun license? if it doesn't then someone told you wrong. i work at a gun store i went to school for guns/ammo/etc. i know what im talking about. the ak-74 has a folding stock with a wooden magazine and a large muzzle for recoil decrease, i would recommend a ak-47 its original and its cheaper. the ak-74 is used in russian military and could cost you a lot more. so go with the ak-47 my friend it cost less and its great. i have a ak-47,ak-74u (with supressor), ak-101 , and an ak-102. i would recommend the ak-47 out of all 4. thanks for your time Wooden mag? hahahaha. Also, the russian military uses the AN-94.

AK-74's have full maroon polyamide furnature, the AKs-74 has a folding stock
