Those are infantrymen. Not traders. They are in service of the trading group as civilian soldiers or conscripts. Militia, that's what they are. Dishdashas' are very uncomfortable to wear in combat and the keffiyehs I gave them really work in desert combat. Of course the actual traders themselves will wear other things, but these are soldiers.

The trading group owns land inhabited by people. Those are called as militia whenever necessary, to defend their country for example.
They use guerilla tactics because their infantry isn't that strong and their arsenal is limited, yet their army is quite large, so they can't equip people with expensive stuff. Most of these soldiers haven't had decent training. Daisuke confirmed them all by the way.

Sound acting is not a priority at the moment and will probably be necessary very late in the mod.
