When I say it doesn't translate well I mean something like this:

Player 1 has high charisma stats, but players 2-8 don't. So does the game just grab whoever is the highest to check to see if the bluff is successful? Then doesn't that just make the rest of the players meaningless if its a 1 man show deciding if things are successful or not.

or, if the game takes the average of all the players it makes the efforts of the first man meaningless if everyone else has a 1/10 stat for charisma.

Stats/actions/abilities which don't affect the entire group like that would be preferable - keypad hacking is a 1 person job for instance.

That may be pushing things a bit, if it was singleplayer the focus could be greater on character customization/effects in the game and it could work, but as it's a co-op mod, the multiplayer gameplay is a larger concern and aspects like that don't translate well when dealing with several different characters.
