You know when ur sick and u have to blow your nose a lot and then your nose gets sore and its hurts A LOT to blow your nose again but you kind of have to?

well thats how my ass feels. and its not a fun feeling.

I have had 4+ years of experience modeling in 3D studio max and i have created some pretty cool stuff. But this class is purely in Maya and i have never even opened Maya. After the first class, i found out that i might as well not know 3ds max, it is completely different and frankly i don't like it as much.

We are learning high-poly modeling first, and then later on low-poly (game) modeling, so bear that in mind.

Our first assignment was to create a chair & desk. I chose to make a rocking chair and the desk that i have at home that i am sitting next to.

We are getting into environments, weapons, and characters throughout the class. its pretty exciting, its my first actual 3d modeling class i'v taken and i want to learn Maya so this should be a good term.

We had a short amount of downtime this morning because of a problem caused by my web server, but it was fixed and we are fine. In fact we are better, because i optimized the server so it should perform faster than before. we only had a few hours of downtime, and during most of the time the uploads were still available.
