The WAD files are the files required to run a map. Map textures are the reskinning of existing map textures.

I want to make maps, but i was jsut wondering what program you guys use to make maps. I have some experience with valve hammer editor , but when i try to load the maps in game, it comes up with some error about wad files er something like that. So i was just wondering what programs you all use. thanks
