Author's Readme/Notes Hi all -------- first the install: -------------------- put the castle_mb_crusty73_v8.bsp and the castle_mb_crusty73_v8.nav file in in yourthe following directory: \Valve\Steam\SteamApps\yoursteamaccount\counter-strike source\cstrike\maps start the game and will shown in the create server window about the map --------------------- this is a castle in aarburg (switzerland) i rebuildet for css maximum 60 players better are only 40 players this map have not too many details but running fast! this castle survifed 5 wars and it never have been took over (since now ! well i guess) no animals hat been hurt by dooing this map!!! if someone gonna run this map on a server please send me the IP at my e_mail crusty73@gmx.ch changes since the last version: ---------------------------------------------- the fireplace leak is fixt the t spawn is fixt (no one get stuck in the wall) ;-) the radar shows the the names off the place where you are the block on the tower has been removed the shiddy mountains are new hint brushes had been set (doubled the performence of the map!) nodrow textures has been set on the outside of the map the ct`s have it easyer now (more boxes to hide) the trees having leaves now a birt flys and the hostages do not get stuck on the wall feel free to send me a mail, with idea, or suguestions so have fun greetings crusty PS: sorry about my bad english webmaster !

Pros: castles = cool Cons: simple/plain looking, needs more detail and trim, have too much of a blocky look (even for a castle). Improvements: i suggest referencing rl pictures online if you have not already.

I love the high Z-axis fighting on the towers, but the graphics and overall feel could be improved. Try working more with clipping and that should already remove some of that boxiness. Especially the river's edge, it's so straight that's it's totally unreal, it looks like something out of CS1.6. Overall it's enjoyable to play from time-to-time :) but not something I'd play everyday.
