Author's Readme/Notes:

Release candidate 3 released!
Fixed in Release candidate 3:

- The map has been retextured into the gravelpit dirt theme
- 3D skybox remade to fit the new gravel theme
- Opened up cap 4 alot more.
- Removed some planks from the building outside blue's spawn.
- Lowered the power of a few displacements near cap 1 to improve the fps
- Widened the stairs at red's first spawn
- Added a F_M poster
- Added a light near the blue spawn to lit a dark area
- The red farm buildings were slightly out of place, and have been replaced with wooden brown buildings.
- Slightly optimized some more from cap 1 to cap 2
- Any buildings left at red's first spawn is now removed when blue caps cap 2
- Removed some pipes and a crate at cap 1 and fixed a few displacements
- Changed a medium ammopack and a small medkit to a large ammopack and a medium medkit at cap 3
- After blue caps the second control point, they'll change spawn after 20 seconds instead of changing it instantaneously
- Red's respawntime after cap 1 have been captured is now changed from 10-20 seconds to 11-22 seconds
- Added another barrel on two other barrels at cap 3 to allow people to jump up on them and get to the second floor
- A bug in a buiding near cap 3 where teleporter exits got destroyed, have been fixed
- Fixed some fade distances and other minor visual glitches

This is a release candidate; it's really close to being released.
Please report ANY issue you have with this map. Everything from server crashes to a piece of wood you can get slightly stuck in.
It will help me alot :)

A single-stage map like badwater, that has alot of height elements. It is designed to work best with 26 to 32 players.

Nice map, i will check it out. If i like it i will have it added to my server i am admin on.

Checked it out and this is a great map, i am going to have it added to the server. Played it on another server and everything seems good. Detail is amazing, so everything looks nice. Can't wait for newer versions to play on.

Ambience: The map has a very good unique feel to it, due to the focus of Blu needing to gain the height advantage over Red, done a lot better than badwater aswell
Balance: While there are a few balance issues, around the 2nd point (sentry farming etc.), as I know your going to sort these issues out, the map is very well balanced.
Design: The design of map is memorable, there are plenty of spots for each of the individual classes to shine.
Detail: The detail on the map is enough to make it pretty, and allows people to identify individual areas, but not to the extent where it causes the map to lag excessively.
Fun: It's an extremely fun map to play. End of story.
Gameplay: The map's design allows for all classes to be of use for both teams in different areas, and the overall idea of the gameplay being centered around height makes it both unique and also very enjoyable.
Looks: While the map dosen't shine like Crysis, it looks very good, and when I've played it, there have been very few visual glitches, and that the textures used suits the individual areas.
Optimization: Yes, the map does lag from time to time, especially around the last point, but, for me, it's never directly affected the gameplay directly, but the map does need some more optimising.
Sound: The map dosen't use brand new sounds, or dosen't use anything unique, but is good enough to gain a high score.
Teamplay: Teamwork is essential in this map, as the only way Blu will ever push through is if the various classes work together. Demos/Pyros will always shine in this map, but that's more down to them being over-powered over design faults.

Fair enough your point on the ladders. I say use something else though :P

Played B6 a fair bit on our server recently.
here were the comments (keep in mind this is from a full 24 slot server not a 32)

Reduce the amount of extra paths/rooms (simplify it), extend the map time a bit. Maybe change to a 2 stage map, the section that opens a gate/door could be the next stage.

need to tweak "sniper alley" (long straight before 2nd last point)


Still a fan of this map has plenty to offer.

There are no official ladder entitys; and Valve has officially stated that they don't want ladders in the game. Therefor I haven't made it functional :)

Pros: The lay out of this map is well thought out. Some serious work has gone into this map. To quote one of our testers "This is like something you would see from a valve release " No issue with balance.

Improvements: Fix the glitch mentioned. Add a working ladder. maybe as Yam who did desparados his ladders work really well
Notes: Lot of good quality Payload style maps out at the moment. This one gives the others a run for their money. Quality effort.
