I did find a few places where there was some cracks in the walls due to miss aligned brushes.
As far as the misaligned brushes, in my Hammer file, each brush that borders each stair is slightly overlapping so as to prevent gaps, but I tried larger overlap and the gap still shows up in playtest. Would you have any recommendations for this issue? Thanks!

I know exactly what you are describing. When any circular or arched brushes get stretched or skewed as in the spiral staircase, the outer corners of the brushes sometimes end up in the middle of a grid square. This makes it hard to align brushes. By using the alt key you can move the corners of the brushes to align with each other. Check out this tutorial. Scroll down to the part where he talks about aligning models. This same technique works on brushes as well. I used this same technique in my map gg_bkh_majestic_v3.
Hope this helps.

Hey Freak
Man you really did a fine job on this map being that this is your 1st map. Very original and I believe the layout is quite good for a bomb/defuse map.
Pros: I like the fact that you included a spiral staircase and water on the lower level. And seeing that this is your first map, you did a very nice job with the lighting. The props/crates are also well placed which makes for good gameplay.
Cons: For the most part your brushwork is pretty good, but I did find a few places where there was some cracks in the walls due to miss aligned brushes. Example Below.
Also on some of your stairs, you should rotate the textures so all the stairs match. Example below.
You will probably need to run the bps file through Pakrat if you want to keep the custom image.
You can get Pakrat here.
Notes: You really did a very good job on your map. It sure is pretty advanced work for a first map. I hope the items mentioned above will be of some help. Keep up the good work Freak.
Happy Maping.
