THIS ISN'T A REPOST!
This is the updated version I made later today.
Changes include:
bug fixes
Changed the control points and their value
Fixed some player clip problems

The original de_dust 2 was made by valve

Decompiled with VMEX and Recompiled by Viruszx In hammer

Re done with new textures, entities and everything else by Viruszx

Somewhere on the net I found a "fake" TF2 update wich involves some of CSS and HL2:DM maps.
They were called :
tf_dust2
tf_office
tf_lockdown
I think there were few more

I agree about the cap points. I think I'd start them all off as gray - no one owns any. Might be a good idea to have it randomly choose which point is capable after a minute and a half has passed (so people can kill each other off) and then narrow the points down to A and B and nothing at T spawn.

I only have a few suggestions/changes.

1) I think that if it’s going to be a multiple cap point arena map then it should have the win prevention of cap points. As it stands right now, if Blue caps the T spawn point while Red is capping A or B then Blue wins.

2) This might be dumbing it down a bit and not necessary once it’s been played for awhile but maybe some kind of label for the cap points? I would imagine that it’d help people who are trying to figure out which point the other team is capping.


Overall though, nice job on the map. It was rather fun to play last night. I do enjoy the fact that there are multiple cap points. It makes it more interesting to play.

Pros: It's dust2.... what more do I have to say?
Cons: It's dust2 from source. Ick. Regardless, the layout is the same. I've been waiting for a dust2 remake. (that sounds like a pro - not a con huh?)
Improvements: The map is obviously dust2. You don't have to beat a dead horse. Use some of your mapping abilities to make the map flow and work for TF2. If that means removing doors or changing the height of some walls or removing blocky textures, then do so. I also noticed checkboards on the ground outside of B bombsite near CT spawn.
Finally, get rid of all the extra crap you have in your download file. You should be providing a bsp and a txt file - and nothing else.
Notes: I'd like to see future updates.

I think dust2 doesnt actualy fit in tf2. the map isnt designed to be used for rocket jumping which means this map can feel a bit bordered for those classes. Further, in css this map was balanced in 5vs5 but in tf2 other tactics apply meaning you have to rebalance the map also. And i think that its missing if its simply a remake or recompile.

btw, arena should have neutral points (normaly 1 but more are possible). Now it feels like a basic sudden death round. Im not fully sure but i think its even possible to make it a attack/defend arena map just like in css. Any basic layout in cps like this usualy gets boring fast. especialy in arena as there you dont want to take over 2 cps to win as many times people bunker up at those while in normal arena maps the only good bunker up place is the central cp (which is hard to take over).

Yea great layout! i played a bit of it.

Bugs: i got a weird texture error. by the rocks by b. it was there but it was checkerboarded but not pink... idk

Cons: it isnt a "stock" dust2. you added some props and stuff like the rockets which i didnt like. - in mine it is going to be just like the real dust2. also. when people download this map from a server make sure you pak everything in the bsp. or it will look very bad... all kinds of errors everywhere.

Pros: everyone will want to play it. the only thing is now arena,cp,and ib are taken for the map. so people can only make a ctf

btw... i dont think it would be final cuz of the texture prob. i can get a screen shot if you like.
