Arena_Starship

Beta 2

Arena map centered around a cargo-bay on a spaceship. This is an edited version of cp_starship which cuts out all the extra areas of the map except the red/blu spawns and the home point areas. All health drops have been removed from the map.

Ive only managed to get up to one 7v7 play test in since people keep crashing out due to memory errors, so any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Change-log from B1:

- Removed a few extra signs
- Increased elevator delay time
- Removed respawn barriers on red/blu spwans

Known Issues:

- A few aesthetic textures issues in elevators and red dock area
- Shows lumberyard video on first playthrough

Pros: This was very fun to play on. It's well balanced with a lot of good hiding spots and methods of getting to the top floor.
Cons: I almost felt there wasn't any motivation for using the lower level. I'm not sure why, it just felt... unsafe. Visually it almost felt "too" big.
Improvements: Either more ways of exchanging one's place between floors or the removal of method of reaching said floors without using one or two basic ramps.
Notes: Why am I always unsure what to put under notes? Oh well. It's neato and the skybox feels nostalgic.

Pros: First custom map I believe, a good break from the stock arenas.
Cons: In starship, the middle point was not as fun for me as the other points were. It is sort of a big box with lots of props everywhere.
Improvements: I think starship was fine before as a cp map, and maybe its time to develop new ideas.
Notes: HURRHURR CAFF ASSESSMENT ARE GOOOOOD?

Pros: nice to have a custom arena map right out of the gate. plays well, looks nice
Cons: main room is essentially a big box, but the multiple levels and view obstructions give plenty of places to hide from snipers and for pyros to hide.
Improvements: None. This is a solid conversion of his cp_map, and it might even have a better home as an arena map. suggest the mapmaker move on to a new concept rather than tweak this one much more.
