Author's Readme/Notes:

Achivements_v3 is the latest version of my achievement map. Rather than creating new maps for every single character i just mixed up as many components for as possible for the entire achievement trees. This is map is especially designed for game reviewers and hardcore clan base players whose intention is nothing but getting to know of new weapons base as soon as possible, those players would have completed in 2 days max anyway. This may not be the coolest looking achievement map but I am pretty sure that this is the most useful achievement map to be made. Also, if you are to vote on my map please remember that, achievement_v3 designed simple and small in purpose. It is not a mass battle, kart pulling etc map. This is an achievement map and it does it's job god damn well.

Updates :

- Added new damage pit for "Iron Kurtain" (Take 1000 points of damage in a single life.) This damage pit give more damage than medic's damage pit and have invisible resupply zone for surviving this damage.
- Added more medipacks for "Redistribution of Health" (Heal 1000 damage with med-kits in a single life.)
- Added intelligence for "Crime and Punishment" (Kill 10 enemies carrying your intelligence.)
- Added dispenser for "Factory Worker" (Kill 20 enemies while being recharged by a dispenser.)
- Added button near control point for reset control point. CP reset button will be useful for "Purge" (Kill 15 enemies capturing a control point you own.)
- Added resupply locker in front of control point for "Controlled Burn" (Ignite 50 enemies capturing one of your control points.)

If I want anyone to remember anything that I am saying here, it is this: Achievement maps are not cheating, they are no type of hack, and there is really nothing morally wrong with it. Valve doesn't mind if people do it, and for a good reason.
Since the Medic Pack came out, people have protested having to do achievements to get their sidegrades. They believe that Valve should just let them choose which gun to use, without having to do very narrow and situational achievements. This is perfectly fine.
Also, people will achievement farm with or without achievement maps. We all do it. Whenever you are doing a certain task for the purpose of getting an achivement, it is farming it. This is why achivement maps are so great. It keeps the people who just want achievements out of the server. Those people can really ruin games if they can't farm their achievements on a map designed for that purpose.
For example: When the Heavy update came out, I was playing Badwater as a medic. I was healing a Heavy on offense, and as we come around the corner, we discover a sentry. I obviously pop my Uber, but the Heavy just kills one guy then sits there and taunts to get an achievement. Those people need the achievement maps so that they don't ruin the game for others.

Phew, that was a load off of my shoulder, so, here is what I think of the map. It looks really nice for an achievement map, aside for the spawns being right next to each other

and not having anywhere to hide with a friend or anything like that to get away from the constant deathmatch.

Though I do like the trigger_hurts, the color scheme, and with a few tweaks to the overall layout, it would be a very nice achivement map.( make the spawns safer and out of the way, map definitely needs anti-spawn camp)

Also, try using a func_regenerate on top of the point hurt, and make the trigger_hurt do 30 damage, max 60 per second. That will allow people to take damage very quickly without dying, also giving medics much faster Uber buildup.

Also it would be nice to have 3 capture points; 2 which capture instantly, and 1 which captures a little bit slower than your current one to allow blocking achievements.

Make the cp ground level, so it is easier for bots to get on it. Also, I don't understand all the hate for this map. This is an achievement map, it was designed for the purpose of getting achievements quickly for those who do not wish to grind for days and instead for those to enjoy the weapons immediately. I agree that the looks could have been better though.

Lol.. i didnt rate and i wish i did. so a big ) for effert or anything else that requires a little mapping sense or skill. Well done on making a map that there is already 50+ of spammed on the boards. COULD have made yours stand out.. a little detail a little more work but no instead you took my other advice and disapproved it. Oye. Go make some surf maps the mindset fits, "LAWLS WHO CARES ANYTHING ABOUT TF2 ART!!1"

Come on guys, maps like this ruin the custom community and the game.. at least put some effort into it.

Design: Made for cheating, nothing else gameplay wise or structure is even considered. Its just box rooms with box objects to complete objectives, nothing truly interesting I'm afriad. theres absolutly no detail.

The only thing this is for is cheating at a perfectly easy game to get them to boot.

Fun: Zero, not made to be played or consider teamplay gameplay etc. Just a job so to speak.

Looks: As perviosuly mentioned, maps rather bland, could use a lot more sprucing up as it seems the only though you placed into it was what combo of red/blue textures to use on the ramps, other than that its very basic looking. Zero props other than the CP point and a few in the spawn areas/intel.

Notes:Map can use some serious serious work because right now, it really isn't one. Please move onto actual projects people will value and play and enjoy themselves on, these won't even be used that much, once done they leave, whereas an actual map has replay value, this does not.

Try out some standard maps with your next project, please don't continue with these...

Gets the job done and regardless of what people think, it's not cheating or a hack. Saying an achievement map is like a hack is like saying Goldrush hacks your stats by letting you cap.

Sorry mate, we do not allow achievement maps on this site. It is considered illegal here. Just make a server and host this map so people can download it there.
