ATTENTION: I'm really sorry to anounce that there's a little bug in a couple of CT's spawn points...i will fix this problem this weekend and re-release the map as 1.2 version.

1.1 - here is a list of fixes i've made:

-cubemaps
-texture misalignments
-props in the bombsite B
-fps optimization (could be optimized better...anyone can help me with fps optimization?)
-light optimization
-custom decals
-a bit of detail here and there

Interesting lights and town architecture.

Unfortunately screenshots are not sufficient to have a good idea of this map, due to it's particular layout...download it and take a look to see with your eyes!

Much better! I love the changes you made, in particular the change of door textures and detail added to the small sniper room above bombsite A.

And the addition of a radar is always a positive aspect :P.

PS: Still CSA that other assessment, a score of 3 is unbelievable. This map deserves nothing less of 8. That other guy is inactive anyway, and has no knowledge of mapping anyway.

Yes, i'm working to improve the map and i hope to upload the final version in the weekend (it depends on how much time i'll have...hope 2 full days!)

Pros: Decent layout and lighting Some of the architecture is interesting
Cons: ugly steps-they could use more detail. A few brushes don't line up correctly. The oranges at one of the bombsites won't let me walk over them and I got stuck behind some of the crates there. A large door facing outside but no door inside just steps
Improvements: Fix misaligned brushes. Fix models at bombsite. Don't use brick textures for a ceiling.

This assessment no longer applies to the map, except for the layout, due to an update by the author.

This is a pretty cool map. Lots of paths and you can get into a lot of the buildings, which is fun. Feels like urban warfare cod4 style.

Now then, Ill get the cons/problems out of the way first.

- Cubemaps
The first thing I noticed when I loaded up the map is that it lacks cubemaps! This leads to a lot of the vertex-lit props looking funky or having funky lighting errors (door behind CT spawn is a good example).

- Player Clip
You need to use it. I was able to singlehandedly jump out of the map using either sniping points as jump spots or the little wooden barriers which block the edge of the map. Use the tools/playerclip texture to make invisible walls where the player shouldn't go


Now, the so-so part of this map is :

- Layout
Its an interesting layout, with the A bombsite being right next to both CT and T spawn, and the B bombsite being relatively far away. Although it does allow for better tactics and some fun close range and urban firefights, it is a little T-sided. However, The fact that the bombsites are extremely open and have no cover helps the CT's by some margin.


I applaud you on these...

- Detail
There is lots of it. Plenty of props (once again, need cubemaps) and the walls have a great variety of textures and decals. All-in-all, the map is extremely pleasing to the eye.

- Ambiance
I love the feel to the map, reminds me of good ol' de_3rdsteet. The skybox gives a very cool feel to the map.

- Lighting
Its perfect, there's just enough light for you to discern foes from friendlies, while still giving a spooky, un-sterile feel to the map.



I recommend fixing the playerclips and the cubemaps, and this map will be quite a gem.
