Author's Readme/Notes Surf_the_gloaming, by Roosta After an extended leave of absence from the surf mapping community due to intense school work, I am finally back and mapping. I begin my return with this map: surf_the_gloaming (pronounced "the glow-ming"). This map all begins with FAJ (what good maps isn't he a part of?). He told me to get off my lazy ass and make an "EPIC" surf map. After much enticing, I finally got around to doing it. This is the result. I am not so sure how epic this map is; I leave that to you to decide. I incorporated all aspects of mapping in which I am proficient: skyboxes, ramps, neat geometry, flow, learning curves, texturing, and logic systems. This map has taught me much. It's just a linear surf map. Nothing more, nothing less (well, maybe a little bit more). There are a few secrets, some of which I particularly enjoy (Scout Battles!) Pros: pretty good map, good surfing Cons: too much time you have to be in jail if you fall down. If someone has godmode and an other one uses the melon shooter then the round won't find an end. Improvements: i wouldnt do a new version, but if yes then fix the shortcut. Notes: Makes fun if the other players dont know the shortcut ;)

Amazing map, really. I love it, easily one of my top 5. Only problem is that rounds can be a bit long at times.

Pros: Everything, I love this map, it's made of win! Cons: Not one. Improvements: If you make a v2, make the jail more fast-paced!
