Hammer, Photoshop, Nem's VTF Photoshop Plugin. Starting with a dev textured fullbright map I worked my way up making it more and more complex until I was happy, then I textured, layed out some decals, did a few camplay tweaks. Came back to the map a few weeks later and added on new concepts and ideas.

FY_Dedecagon

Spawns offer both teams identical paths to victory. This arena has three basic paths for the players to take, with various splits and possibilities at each. I've tried to pay attention to the possibilities of gameplay, offering fast rounds without any lame deaths.

Three main knife battle spots.

Two handgun locations for taking out the opposition's assault location.

Two assault rifle spots with a high vantagepoint, but with minimal (partially destroyable) cover.

Underwater route containing SMG's on either side.

Every route connects back to the others in a fun simplistic way to keep you battling for many rounds to come.

Sharpshark, this map is extremely well done, the optimization is wonderful, the lighting is exceptional, and the texture choice is phenomenal, I loved watching this map develop and I believe it hasn't received as much feedback as it deserves, to tell you the truth I am extremely jealous of this map because it's better than anything I have EVER done. I appologize for not paying as much attention to you as you did to me.. <3 PM: POW?!
