Author's Readme/Notes:

This is an early preview of the new soccer map worked on by me and mr bubbles.
I've had this version for about a month and haven't been able to really add anything to it, so I'll release what's done so far.

There's a sleek looking stadium with moving crowds, and working scoreboards on both sides of the field.
A 'ball cam' moves around the stadium.
There are floodlights around the stadium that, as soon as i work out a way to do it without creating lag, will turn on at night time.
I'm working on a script to make this map change the skybox, field lights, and darkness to simulate night and day. (this script is not included as it's very buggy atm)

There is still much to do in this map. some things are a bit ugly.. but most of the functionality is there.
It's a bit dark because there is a problem stopping it from compiling in vvis.

As with my v4 and v5 maps you can customize alot of the textures and settings manually or using the included MapEdit program.

Commands:
Type these commands in chat to perform certain actions with the autoref script.
!ref -- Brings up a referee menu to control manual aspects of the ref script. you must be set as an admin in the autoref config for !ref and !setteams.

!setteams [team1here] [team2here] -- Set teams for the ref script. Use underscores for spaces. For the newer scoreboards since 2008_v6, use full-stops to center the team.

In addition to the map and map customizing scripts, you can optionally install my soccer (gameplay) scripts, available here: http://addons.eventscripts.com/addons/view/soccer

They work for every setting different league/clans use.
Extremely customisable. they record personal player stats (viewable in-game and on a webserver), Limit knives-per-minute,
Disable knifing, Control health/god-mode options (including a commbox-as-bloodbin script),
Automatically referee (for clan/league matches), Control an in-game scoreboard on a special map,
Slay people jumping on goals, Set separate skins for goalies and teams,
And automatically load the scripts upon changing to a soccer map.

One thing that would be cool once you fix lighting, is to make a duplicate map, but utalize the lights on all the corners, and make a night map!!!! for intense games and tournyes. make it all dark, except for the four lights, and some lights in the stands. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME

The lighting on the next beta of the map is fixed, looks a million times better and makes the map run better than v3 :)
in beta3, which i'm hoping will just be the final map,
it will be a night map and day map. basically a script will work with the map to set the time of day depending on the server time (you can offset it in the script for whatever reason though).
The field lights will come on at night time automatically.
That's the thing thats stopping me really.. i'm trying to get the lights to look right.. atm they don't shine down through to the field.. only a couple metres.

You are stealing credit. I'm going to steal all your work from now on.

Don't bother trying to take them off fpsbanana, cos I'll just say you stole credit from other people.

But yes, the crowds use a similar texture file name to the IOS ones (or exactly the same, can't remember but we were looking at the ios ones when we were making the crowd textures)
Pitty it's infact not the same texture, the ios ones didn't work with the crowds me and mr bubbles designed.

They don't just have the same name, they have the same size and content in the VMT, except different path assigned.

The only difference is a crowd member has been replaced. That means you can take anyone else's work, tweak it a bit and claim it's yours? Same as taking a whole published news article from CNN, edit a few lines and claim you made it. Don't know what kind of logic that is?

Decompiled your map to make sure it's the bluecrowd texture being used, and yes - it's a positive:

Maybe I should steal your textures (as you claimed i did earlier) and tweak them a bit? Of course I'll remember to claim it's my own and leave out any credits. No problemo.

You didn't point that out before.
The stuff previous to this just isn't even worth looking at,
But yes, the crowds use a similar texture file name to the IOS ones (or exactly the same, can't remember but we were looking at the ios ones before making the crowd textures)
Pitty it's infact not the same texture, the ios ones didn't work with the crowds me and mr bubbles designed.

Either way though go ask IOS whether there was permission to use it or not.
If you actually go to them and they tell you I didn't have permission, I'll allow your negative assessment.

At the end of the day that's just not going to happen though.

The stuff you've pointed out isn't stolen though,
It's just standard blocks with basic textures that can be found outside IOS.

That's why I took a search for the animated crowd texture you're using on ka_soccer_2009_beta1:

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

Now that's funny! IOS:S is using the EXACT same texture (VMF and VTF) as you are!
What a coincidence isn't it?

Now let's take a look how beautiful it is on your map.

Beautiful I admit. Shame it isn't yours.

And yet... No credit! *Surprise*

I never said I asked IOS for permission for this map or even should have had to.
Whether I did or not I don't even have to tell you.
You should be doing that yourself if you're going to be speaking on their behalf claiming it's been stolen.

The stuff you've pointed out isn't stolen though,
It's just standard blocks with basic textures that can be found outside IOS.

I give up arguing. you're just repeating the same points over again that have already been refuted.

Come up with actual proof. nothing you've posted is the same as the ios map, and you only have 1 screenshot that's actually from ios.

I never said anything about justifying what I've allegedly done when I talk about reporting XSL's other stolen work of mine.

XSL never stole anything from you. It's a public community.

A public member of that community allegedly stole something. He doesn't represent the community. But thanks for trying to put a whole community in a bad light.

Why would I 'port' a map to the same engine?
cs:s and IOS run on hl2.
the parkhead map you used was modified from the original for cs:s gameplay and had different lighting, things not compiled properly etc..
It's a bad example to compare it to this map.

Hammer requires difference for some entities etc. That's why I defined is as different engines - it requires different standards for map procedure.

It's true that they do share the same Source engine version.

So you haven't even contacted the author of the material you're claiming as 'stolen' on behalf of?
Do your research and find it yourself.
I'm not going to help you in your false claims of stealing for me or anyone else.
Once again, there hasn't been any copying in this map that wasn't mine to use anyway.

That is a bit odd claiming you had been given permission very late in the discussion.

After my revision, you stated nothing about you gaining permission from the IOS:S team. You only stated:

You have to actually ask the owner's if their material was stolen, not just claim it by your own opinion.

If you were actually given permission, why did you have to credit IOS:S on ka_parkhead and not ka_soccer_2009_beta1, even though they use the exact same meshes?

And I doubt you even got permission from lolobubu to use his work in your snow maps.

It's a well known fact that lolobubu doesn't appreciate people using his content. Especially not his triggers. Have you asked him for permission?

As I've never released my map officially, I'm not stealing any of his work.

But again, thanks for changing the topic.

Why did you come on here spamming stealing claims under a different account?

What!? *grin*
Different account? This is my first account on FPSbanana. Please refer to this "other" account that I should be using? :S

By the way, here's another example:

Same content on ka_soccer_2009_beta1;
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

The original content, on ioss_parkhead
Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

One requires credit, the other one doesn't. How come?

I never said anything about justifying what I've allegedly done when I talk about reporting XSL's other stolen work of mine.
I'm saying what you're doing here won't make a difference, The only reason you're trying so badly to spam this page here with false claims is to threaten me so I don't go claiming the stuff your league has stolen from me.

Why would I 'port' a map to the same engine?
cs:s and IOS run on hl2.
the parkhead map you used was modified from the original for cs:s gameplay and had different lighting, things not compiled properly etc..

Once again, there hasn't been any copying in this map that wasn't mine to use anyway.

You're claiming the 'design' of a real location was stolen,
Because I used a roof over the crowds like IOS did and angled brushes coming down from them.
You might aswell be claiming everyone else on fpsb has stolen material by using world blocks walls in their map after valve did it.
Similar designs made with world blocks... not stealing.

And I doubt you even got permission from lolobubu to use his work in your snow maps.
Why did you come on here spamming stealing claims under a different account?

Penguin, simply put,
The screenshots you compared this map to was one of my maps converted from the ios one and changed.
Where did you get this idea that you know more about my maps than I do? No it wasn't a direct port.
If you want to make a complaint about the parkhead converted map then do it there.
And no, i never claimed I deserved credit for that.
I'm saying you're using the wrong map to compare this one to, you're using one of mine instead of the ios one.

I'm sure an admin will be able to sum up the recent posts here as a personal attack with dodgy evidence. you didn't even contact the owners of what you claim to be stolen on whether I had permission or not.
Until then I'm rejecting the spammed negative assessments about alleged copying.

And don't think this will excuse you from stealing from my maps.
I'll be reporting any of my stolen textures I see in your maps with actual proof.
My 2008 maps that you guys copied them from have been on fpsb from the start.

First off, it is a direct port. I can take the exact same picture from IOSS_Parkhead as a comparison. And I have - it's sent to the admins as documented evidence.

You claim that you were given permission? Tell me who the map author of IOSS_Parkhead is and I'll contact him.

Why do you keep changing the subject...? You are talking about another individual that is part of a public community who allegedly stole your work.

I never used any of your work, why do you come up with such claims...? The only map I've released (unofficially, not on FPSBanana) is ka_soccer_snow. This ccontains content from Lolobubu only. Nothing from you and your maps.

But yeah, thanks for justifying your content rip by blaming others for having stolen yours.
