Author's Readme/Notes:
CP_FREEZONE is set in desert enviroment like Dustbowl. It took me about 300 hours to create it. I'm trying to make it as detailed as possible.

It is an attack/defend map with 4 capture points. I'm going to add another round with 3 control points later. The map is pretty big with many open spaces, but I'm planning to add more structure

Map contains few custom textures: HUD icons, flammable overlay, billboard

This is only the second alpha version of the map. It needs more testing and fixes.

- some objects flicker

Hmm.... I have to give some feedback on this map after playing with a full server. The fps problem makes this map completely unplayable. I have a top of the line graphics card and even I noticed some lag issues. But for the average gamer, it means finding a different server.

Second, the first point has a building next to it that produces some ungodly loud noise. That noise has got to go.

Finally, the last point has all sorts of issues. From the roof the point and walls actually disappear. I was actually standing on an invisible wall for a while.

These things have got to be fixed.

I'm happy to run through the map with you. I think you've got a great map but it's definitely not ready for regular play.

The FPS problems on this map have nothing to do with it being "wide open". The complex geometry in the caves and poor compilation and optimization have everything to do with it. As it is, the map is completely unplayable.

Pros: new map, looks great, nice detail and layout
Cons: it's so wide open, makes fps drop on even SLI quad machines, everyone complains
Improvements: i think blue side, far right exit, first time playing, got stuck on the floor of the doorway, missing textures counted about 5-6 i think, purple checker board. not sure how to increase fps

Pros: Looks absolutely amazing!!!!
Cons: The brightness is a tad on the HOLY too brightness. I think it burned my retnas. >:(
Improvements: The only real directional signs for A and B are when you first come out of spawn. While that is helpful and it would be nice to assume that all players would read those signs, they won't. You need to create more directional signs - although maybe just a few here and there rather than plastering your map with them.
I'm disappointed that you have two points with symbols and then you have an A and a B. I like the symbols.... go with the symbols!!!!
Fix the brightness issue.
Notes: Let me know when you release the new version. I know today you told me that you were going to compile the new version tomorrow so I'm holding off on putting it on the server until the newest one is available. You've done absolutely amazing work. This is beautiful!!!! I can't wait to see what else you are going to make. Great work!
