Ummm, wow, this map has a real air of poor quality. A little tip for anyone reading this, you never release your first map, you will always need to have made several working maps before you should consider anything release worthy.

Starting with the texturing is it just so unbelievably random. There is no recurring theme, there is no overall feel of the map, it doesn't line up properly, there is no evidence of alignment either. It has the feeling of being rushed with no care paid to detail or quality.

The layout too, feels pretty random in places and there is evidence of some carving in the map. Brushwork is atrocious in some places, with gaps everywhere.

There is no lighting in the map, not even a lame attempt at using the light_environment entity, which in 2 seconds would add at least some light to this map. Well, actually it wouldn't seeing as there is no skybox in this map.

Really, you need, you must check out the tutorial section of this site, learn how to make a decent map and actually put a lot of time into making something that is actually passable. Check out other modding sites too, they all have useful tutorials that you can learn from.

The map has some very bad points I'm afraid, even for a first one. But we all start somewhere, tend to try and forget the first :P

The textures are randomly selected and not aligned, there is not lighting or a skybox used here. Can see some obvious carving on the ramps, try not to get into that habit, carving causes problems. Stick to the cutting tool as its always the better choice.

Your layout, is well, not thought out enough, its got mazelike quality's on either side but they are so large and spaced out that it provides little if any gameplay benefit. No barriers for cover other than ones directly in the middle, the rest is really just open space to shoot in.

Map construction is done on a very large grid size making it seem extremely basic in terms of looks, the ramps and stairs don't connect to the platforms above but leave a large gap.

Texture alignment/choice and brushwork are the major things you should improve upon first before going into complete levels that include all the required elements, lighting, props, detail brushwork etc.

Use the tutorial section of this website and practise many different techniques before submitting your next map. The forums can also be a big help when encountering problems with compiles or just general mapping issues.

Lol yea i can see what you are sayin but its not all about looks its also about its play, and i tried getting the lighting right but it just got darker, so dark u coulden't even see. and like i said its my first real map it hopefully does the purpose it was created to do.

The texturing needs a lot of work, tiled textures are not good to look at. Also, like a lot of newer map submissions, this one's missing light sources.

Do yourself a favour, look at FPSB's extensive Mapping Tutorials section.
