Author's Readme/Notes

Changelog from b1 to b2

- Scaled down the map by 1/4, it's now perfectly sized
- Redesigned a part of CP1 and added a new entrance
- Added a new way to battlements that improves gameplay like you wouldn't beleive
- You can now get on the roof at CP3
- CP3 spawns can no longer be used as resupplies
- Lots of tweaks, fixes and details added...

This version is ALOT better than the previous one. Check it out!

Pros: Unique design
Cons: Needs details badly. The floor and walls are basically the same texture. The Big pyramid in the back of each base is a waist of compile time. The distance from each point seems far to me. But i play on smaller maps normally...
Improvements: For the pyramids and other backgrounds you cant get to I'd recommend using the 3d skybox option. It looks just as good but uses less CPU/GPU. Textures are basically all the same change those. Maybe add some blue / red overlays for contrast for b3 until you make final details.
Notes: Overall has potential.

Pros: Very unique map with a theme which a lot of maps lack.
Cons: It's very bland. For a museum... there's not a lot to look at.
Improvements: Add lots and lots of details. I believe someone else mentioned statues... I think that would work well with what you are trying to do here. Signs and posters for museum events and such are always good too. But you definitely need to add some museum type features.
Notes: I'd be happy to re-evaluate your map once you've got a b3 out. You've got a good thing going, just gotta make it pretty now. ;)

Pros: Great design and layout for the map! The capture points are perfect and the timing is right, health and ammo are spot on. Map is very fun to play.
Cons: Map is very stark! Needs more stuff
Improvements: Needs LOTS OF PROPS! Statues, suits of armor, painting, it needs to be a museum :)
Notes: This map has huge potential because of it being a museum. I'd like to see stuff like a "evolution of the pyro" display and historical weapons (TF2 related weapons), pictures of ancient capture points and intelligences. You could really have fun with this!

I just wanna say that I think it's unfair to say that the map could be a little smaller. I did test runs from Spawn to CP3 on other maps and here are the numbers so you can compare for yourself:

As Scout:

cp_museum_b2: 13 seconds
cp_granary: 20 seconds
cp_warpath: 25 seconds

As Heavy:

cp_museum_b2: 25 seconds
cp_granary: 33 seconds
cp_warpath: 44 seconds

In my opinion, it couldn't be smaller than it is now or it would feel weird beeing in a museum as small as a small farm (2fort).

This map is great for beta version. Although it is lacking details, it has a unique design. The map could be a little smaller though.
