Minor Update:
New version ze_space_stationzz. This is a very minor update. If you have version z then you're fine, zz is just a small balance update. ZZ just changes the teleport secret to the new shuttle, and makes it harder to figure out. It wasn't fair to humans when zombies could teleport on top of them. Now it's a much more difficult secret.

Unless there are bugs or something, this will be the FINAL version of ze_space_station, at least that I make.

This version here was made to correct two problems... First of all on a respawn server, players would get killed by the nuke, then respawn. Then they'd get killed again and respawn again. This would continue until the round end or until they went spec. That doesn't happen anymore. The nuke turns off after 3 seconds here. But then this lead to players respawning on the station while all zombies were on shuttles, and they couldn't kill each other. That being a problem as well, I went ahead and made the map prevent players from respawning. So this problem is effectively 100% solved.

The other problem was that humans would all get killed the second a zombie spawned on a server with a fast zombie spawn time. The map ups the zombie spawn time to between 20 and 30 seconds, giving players plenty of time to run. But there was still a bottleneck where they would all get killed at the computer room. So to get rid of that and split players up I added a third mini-shuttle which one can get to by taking an entirely new path out of spawn. That way not everyone is in the same spot when a zombie appears. There is also a good camping spot right before the third shuttle, so it's not too hard to hold zombies off.

Minor changes:
- Area Portals for anti-lag.
- Shuttles all move twice as fast as they did in the original ze_space_station release, so less time on them while moving = less lag.
- Couple new secrets.

There aren't many other changes, but the addition of the new route was too big to release it under the old map name, so this one has its own map submission. Also, the radar map here was improved over the previous one. And that's all I've got here so feel free to ask questions or whatever.

Pros: looks awesome, love pwning noobs with the xwing also love the hidden push trigger u included if u dont want the xwing :D
Cons: the exploding hallway is a bit too hard

Improvements: reduce the time you have after teh explosions stop
Notes: i know how to get to the xwing if anyone wants to know how

Please keep the X-Wing secret to your self.

I hate to agree with Evergreen. The addition of a self controlled shuttle has to be the most stupid idea in the creation of all escape maps. It destroys any real meaning to the map cause all everyone wants to do is get in the thing they can fly and mess around. And again the problem of having zombies on one shuttle and humans on the other when the nuke goes off present a giant problem. HOW DOES THE ROUND END?! U can't have both zombies and humans escaping that just kills the entire meaning on an ESCAPE MAP. One team or the other not both. I'm being a bit harsh here, but you seriously need to rethink your ending method to this map with the 3 shuttles, i.e. This should not be a final version.


Maybe you should actually play the map?

The new shuttle is NOT Player-controlled. The only player-controlled vehicle is the X-Wing which is hiding behind many locks, traps, hidden buttons, holes in walls, etc so it's very hard to get to and if you're tryiing to get it there's a good chance you will be killed before you get to it.

And okay, let's say the zombies are on one shuttle, humans on the other... All right they can't get to each other? WRONG!! Yes they can. All shuttle windows are breakable. Bust a window and go to the other shuttle to try to kill the humans, or humans can camp on top of a shuttle and shoot up the zombies.

I don't understand ur multiple means of escape comment.

You can ignore that suggestion then. Most if not all maps could benefit from a few extra func_details, but it appears you've done everything possible.

Redline seems to have clarified my point about multiple shuttles already. However it has come to my attention that there is infact contant between the shuttles, please ignore any of my previous suggestions.
