This map was built from scratch based on dasole's cp_floodzone2 which was in part based on menthol's ctf_floodzone for hl2ctf mod.

X5 RELEASE IS THE MOST UP TO DATE

Give it a try on these servers:
85.21.79.225:27018 (Russia)
85.236.100.239:27015 (England)

Please use 3 sniper limit for this map.

Main features:

-much less central cp stalemates
-you no longer die when you change your class at respawn
-no invisible wall blocking spies from sapping teleports at respawn
-better optimization, you will get more fps and less lag
-timer has been removed for 24/7 servers

Put "cp_floodzone3_x5.bsp" in "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\[YOUR ACCOUNT]\team fortress 2\tf\maps".

Small update ... servers been full most the night ... feedback sofar is the map is 100% better so well done :)

one thing tho :P snipers need to be limited to 3 per side for it to really work otherwise its just a sniper nest.

I thought you would have released another updated version anyways after most of the feedback. I have to agree with dimeb4g almost everything he points out would make gameplay much better. Im still running this map on my server and would very much like to have the next release added too!

Hi, just want to make some suggestions after playing the map for a little while.

It is an improvement on the first version but in my opinion, it still has some fatal flaws. Just a couple of tiny things that would make it sooo much better.

The 1st thing is the choke point at the middle. When the action hots up there is no chance of getting anyone behind enemy lines without extreme luck. I'd love to see 2 small tunnels down the bottom of the map one to the right and left of the stair case where the map folds back in a bit. That would make it possible for the opposing team to sneak spys and other classes through so that a bit of cunning and guile can be introduced into the map. Something which a lot of maps competely lack.

The 2nd thing is the single point of entry for the penultimate point. I dont think this is a good idea... Its far too thin to get anyone into the point with pure skill alone and 2 demo men can sit gaurding the slope from behind/above and its virtually impossible to access. Could another slope be made the other side, or a at least another point of access considered?

The final thing is the complete lack of health pickups or ammo restocks throughout the level. I dont think there needs to be loads of these... but it would help engineers and players to actually make a go of it to have at least one health/ammo restock point. Perhaps down near the truck?

Just my thoughts. A good map but spoilt compeltely by these small flaws that just throw the balance of the game right off and cause unintelligent play and stalemates.

It's proved to be a very popular map on one of my Multiplay 24/7 servers, great work and even better now with the additional cover from snipers.

Ste is lying we actually had a lot of fun tonight, its good as long as people dont pick boring classes such as sniper and scout, they seem to ruin the game because of the open spaces. this may be less of an issue with more people i dont know



aye its true ill eat my own words... after playing it all night im starting to like it more! I think it needs some more objects or somthing as some parts of the map is alittle too open.
