Author's Readme/Notes Ctf_Royal_b2 ============================================ Map name: Royal Beta version: 2 Filename: ctf_royal_b2.bsp Map by: Redfox Textures by: Redfox E-mail: RedfoxMaps@hotmail.com Gameplay type: capture the flag Description Ctf_Royal_b1 is straight forward capture the flag map similar to 2fort. It is set in rats style where the players appear to be small relative to the map, taking place on a poker table each castle is made of playing cards. Beta 2 Changes ============================================ -Timer has been fixed. - The middle area now has more cover outside each castle along with more med and ammo packs. -There is now an alternate route on each side of the opposing fort that leads to the second floor. -There is now a pack of cigarettes in the lobby of each castle for the spies on your team. =) Tips ============================================ -Soldiers and demomen don’t forget about your explosive jumps reach higher points in the map. -A skill scout can use his double jump to skip cross form each second floor battlements. -Those stacks chips against the middle wall is not just for looks use them to jump to the other side. -Make use of the new stepping stones on the sides of the forts to get to the seconded floor. -Don’t forget to use the side towers for defending your castle or bombing the enemy castle. Pros: Interesting map. Looks great and very unique and original. Cons: None really. Not a huge fan of the cigarettes.... but I guess it sort of applies. Improvements: None. Notes: I'm going to add it to my server and see what the rest of the clan thinks. Great work!

Pros: I absolutely love this map. I have always been a sucker for rats style maps, and this one has a lot of great gameplay elements to it, plus some interestingly cool card textures for the walls. Pretty much every class is useful or CAN be useful on this map. My favorite class by far on this map is demoman. There's no greater high than sticky jumping your way to the top of the enemy base and grabbing their intel undetected. Cons: The spawn points. BIG TIME. No map should ever have one spawn point unless it's safely guarded from the enemy. This map is begging for spawn camping. If you could, add an alternate exit somewhere from the spawn. Improvements: Just add an extra exit and I think you'd be hard pressed not to get a perfect 10 out of me on this map. Notes: This one's a lot of fun guys. If you haven't tried it yet, download it now and get it on your server!

We had a few guys play on this map last night and it was a really good time. Didn't see any obvious problems with the setup. My clan is getting a new "fun maps" server soon and this will definitely be in the rotation. Great work!
