Author's Readme/Notes:
This is a dirty translation from French using google.

Following my progressive withdrawal of the creation of maps HL ² playable DM I decided to create charts of demonstration. Indeed, rather than to endeavour to make playable maps by limiting me still and always with respect to the engine Source, I decided to make ultra-detailed, but any more playable maps. In the final analysis to leave free court to my imagination. To base itself more but on the pleasure of the eyes. (I saw beautiful maps so much car-being limited by fear that they are more playable on line only I decided to more to withdraw me from it. What good is it to limit itself to make playable maps who will never be played?)

Here thus my first creation. A water mill located in full forest. small uneven of the brook will have enabled him to set up a stopping and to benefit from hydrolic energy. What to say moreover? What the map puts at knees the engine of HL ²? What of the blow, one wonders how to make to create beautiful tricks under Source? I do not know, it is perhaps me which have evil to include/understand this engine. in any case, that resembles about my starting model. (with some trees in less probably, but it is dûr to find trees under Source.)

Problems? There is yes. The trees are rather strange, especially those used like basic decoration. Some disappear, others pass from the first in the second plan according to the sight, some others change foliage. in short, of the trees under Source… There is also a problem on the level of the water of the bottom whose color changes subtly according to the sight also. A problem of cubemap apparently, a problem which I does not manage to solve. And of course the principal problem, envisage one very very good config =)

To final, Ca gives a rather pleasant landscape to look at, with water which runs, of the birds which chirp, of the frogs which croassent and a small soft music which rocks the player =)

PS: Someone rightly pointed out me that the images of the place which I tried to reproduce by making this map came from a sublime screensaver. It is of course a great disappointment for me to learn that this environment was already created in 3D, but well. I comfort myself by saying to me that in this version, one can trott oneself =) I thus benefitted from it to take the background music of the screensaver.

Truly a great Source map. Who cares about it not being a playable map? I'd like to see even HALF the mappers here make something like this, instead of another shitty killbox map.

It's really an inspiration to see this map. It makes me want to make my own little novelty map...

Hmm....

The best things in life are nubblecakes.

It's okay, not all of us can read. But it sure isn't okay when some of those people have the mentality of a kindergartener who was recently hit by a truck and placed into a coma commenting on such beautiful maps like this. Do you even know what this is?
