I love this map! It's now in rotation on our servers!

I have developed a great affinity recently for the KOTH style of gameplay, as it combines the rapid pace of arena wthout making some players sit out. This map offers

Pros:
- Great use of the new dark, musty, swamp environment.
- Looks, feels and plays great. The sound effects of the frogs "chirping" & the waterfall "falling" add a nice touch.
- Balanced layout & design - it's really hard to get lost. All roads lead to the middle.
- Action is funnelled into and concentrated around the point, as it should be in a koth map.
- multiple approach paths to the CP - ramps, inside boathouse, and jumping from boat in water
- lots of nooks and crannies for spies to conceal themselves
-Creative use of props. The nail, for instance, allows non-jumping classes access to the roof of the middle point & gives cloaked spies an unanticipated perch.
- Also, there is a "off the beaten path" access that allows players to circle around for the end run attack.
- Plenty of health, with one small pack right near the cap point to draw the injured off the point.
- Awesome Valve-like promotional poster and photos! You really nailed it, man! :)

Cons:
- Since attackers can get right up to the spawn doors, there's a high potential for spawn camping. Possibly restrict attackers' access to the courtyard outside of the spawn house?
- There may be too much deep water - which has the effect of harming a pyro's ability to inflict burn damage. Other than that, there doesnt seem to be any other class imbalance issues.

Improvements:
- The gator is cute, and adds a nice custom touch - as scenery, but, IMO, he should "do something" to be an impressive and memorable feature. I think he should be a killer! Make him do damage like getting hit by a train! (You could even maybe make your own little gator-kill icon! LOL, what about a gator-kill ROAR! sound effect when dominated by gator!?) Put a health pack by him to make it tempting to approach, but make contact with him deadly! Maybe just make him rise and fall above the health, so, if you time it right, you "could" get away with dashing in! (I know all that may not be possible, I was just spitting out ideas!) ;)

Summary:
We have enjoyed your maps for a long time on our Pub servers. (pl_dbheights rocks!) I trust that, in time, koth_mooshine will also turn into one our favorites. Keep up the great work! :)

Yes, I left the railing unclipped as well as the loft to allow engineers to build up there.

Has that shown out well? I mean it would seem like spies would have a really hard time trying to sap that stuff up there, especially if there's a pyro spy checking it constantly. I guess they could use the teleport method.


Anyway, as for the map itself, it looks very solid and professional. I've been wanting to make my own TF2 map but I just never get around to it (I keep getting mapper's block if you know what I mean).

It's refreshing to see an original theme for TF2, and I will most definitely find a server on this map to see how it plays out and all. The only minor qualm I have is that the lighting is a wee bit bland and repetitive. Most of the map has a cool color, but there are some spots with warmer coloring which settles nicely with the map.


Keep up the good work dude, can't wait to see some more work by you.

Pros: One of the better koth maps I've seen and played on, at least better than some of the valve koth maps
Cons: I cannot be eaten by gators

Great great map. I have one request, can you please make this into a ctf map as well, i played around in it and i think it would make an amazing ctf map.
