I know you obviously did not make this but meh, I just don't like it.
The backfrop is actually the biggest reason i like the CAL gui

You can fix the numbers by opening Clientscheme.res
found in Counter-Strike Source\\\\cstrike\\\\resource\\\\ then search for SelectionNumberFg and change it to 255 255 255 255 this ofcourse does only work for white.
