It's getting closer, I almost figured out the texture of the old SMG Grenade.
It's somewhere in the materials/models/weapons folder.
If I'm right, its gotta be w_grenade or something.

Anyone know how to make the enemy NPCs stop attacking you when you're in dark spots? I've seen a tutorial before but it was long ago and I've lost the link.

That's an extremely daunting task you're describing. While it's not impossible, it would take an assload of time.
