‘Contest & Auctions Club’ Rules & Guidelines
Welcome to the contest & auction club here at FPSB. In this section you will find all the contests or auctions being held by our members & their requirements. Further more, there are special instructions when adding a contest into the forums; please follow these rules to help our members to fully know what your contest or auction is about as well as to help the club stay spam free.
If you wish to advertise your contest to the rest of the site, please do it via the thread we have created. The Official Contests & Auctions Thread in the main forum is the place for that. Please follow the rules there as well. All ads placed in a profile message on the club will now be terminated.
General Contest & Auction Rules- General Rules
- All threads with no bidding activity after 72 hours (3 Days) (after submission) will be trashed.
- Users [creator contest / auction] have the right to terminate [delete] the contest with no warning.
- Users [creator contest / auction] can change the date or the length of the contest with fair enough warning - either via post in the thread and / or post in the club.
- Users who wish to participate in the contest MUST make a post saying they wish to enter.
- No contest is allowed longer than two (2) weeks unless special permission is granted. Some contest's (Map & Skin, etc..) can automatically bypass this rule. Other than that, contact nintentofu for special permission.
- Title
When you post a new thread, you MUST use one of these prefixes before your custom title. It will help our members know what exactly is being auctioned off.- [SET] - A full set, including uPic, avatar, forum sig, mini sig, & tBar. Simple & easy.
- [SIG / AVA] - when requesting a signature & avatar
- [GFX] – normal graphic request (can be logos, banners, ect…)
- [UBER] - requesting an uberstyle for your profile / browsing
- [SKIN] - hosting a skinning contest
- [MAP] – hosting a mapping contest
- [PS] – hosting a Photoshop contest
- [RIPE] – have a Ripe contest
You may add any sort of one (1) piece graphic item you need can be your title: EG uPic | tBar | Forum Sig | ect...
- Descriptions
You MUST include a description of your auction in every submission. If you do not, your thread will be trashed (see Contest & Auctions Moderation below).
- Submitters
- Put effort into your Auction(s). DO NOT simply crop, copy & paste.
- ALWAYS post an end date; including time, date, & time zone.
- Include everything that is up for auction in the thread.
- Don't spam auctions, you will be penalized. Use your own judgment & trust ours.
- Contenders
- If you place a bid in an auction thread, you WILL be held accountable for it.
- Placing joke, or false bids, is not appropriate. If you do not have enough points for a bid then do not bid promising points from someone else.
- If you do in fact intend to pool bids with another member, then they need to post verifying that they are going to supply part of your bid.
- Post bids only. Unless the author asks for opinions then the only appropriate post is a bid.
- Obtaining items won
If you are having issues with an auctioneer, please contact nintentofu via PM. Include the price, the contest, and link to the contest you won. If you, the submitter, front the prize before you receive payment in full that is your own problem. The moderators & admins will not support any claims of things traded upfront before payment was made. If you do not pay, we will take the points away from you and the punishment will be worse.
- Reducing Spam
- You MUST mark all completed threads
 Done upon completion. This will help random bumps. - You are alloted one (1) contest / action per day. Also, this does not mean make one (1) entire set and the fifty (50) tBars and uPic. Please use common knowledge.
