So Tool IS recording again? ..That Is The Best News I've Heard All Year! I'm expecting an album in 2011. They usually release them 5 years apart. From AEnima to Lateralus to 10,000 Days. Too long of a wait :( Posted by Silent Ricochet Meh idk, I can honestly say I liked every single song on Lateralus, where I only liked about 4 songs on 10,000 Days. Rosetta Stoned, Jambi, Vicarious, and Right in Two. Yeah, I only liked a few from 10,000 Days too. Whereas with AEnima and Lateralus i like 95% of the songs.

Well I thought 10,000 Days was a pretty good album, and I thought all albums were great for that matter. But it seemed 10,000 Days had some filler tracks it seemed, but still were all great. Vicarious and Rosetta Stoned are my fav tracks on there, but I really loved Lateralus the most. Their style was just awesome on that album. I don't really expect the next album to be like older ones, but I do hope it'll be more kick ass than 10,000 Days.

You can't expect the same thing from Tool each time. Opiate, Undertow, and Ænima were different from each other and from Lateralus, and I didn't hate any of them.

Posted by Demonoid TOOL is fuckin' awesome. Anybody know when they'll be releaseing a new album or has that not been announced? according to their wikipedia page, a new album is in production, and they have already written a few songs. So I'd expect it to be released in a year or two. (hopefully)
