Just upgraded from an AMD 690G to AMD 790X mobo, AMD Phenom II x3 720 (Overclocked it immediately to 3.2GHz), and PC2-8500 RAM (4GB).

The performance difference is astounding. I wish windows 7 would let me take screenshots but My average framerate on Lost Coast Benchmark went from 129.74 to 202.65.

Ingame performance in Company of Heroes is insane, it's as smooth as butter with all the eye candy jacked up. Same with Need For Speed shift, which has problems with ATI Architecture, runs as smooth as can be.

couldn't be happier!

Still on your 4850? Not bad.

What's wrong with a 4850? They're very strong cards.

Cypress (HD 5870) is out.

Hemlock (HD 5870 x2) should be out within the next couple months, as well as Juniper (HD 5770 and 5750.)

the HD 5770 is supposed to replace the HD 4890 and perform roughly the same as a gtx 275. the HD 5750 is supposed to be a replacement for the 4870 and perform roughly the same as a GTX 260.

We will see how this goes. I am not interested in benchmarks yet, because the drivers are still the first for the series. Any thoughts?

Holy shit, look at all those stream processors! D:
