My car has been spewing white smoke out of a tailpipe for weeks that's why I decided to take it to the shop to have it checked out. It turns out that one of my piston rings is busted and my antifreeze might be leaking in there, hence the white smoke. I want to fix it myself but it has something to do with the engine so I asked for an estimate and it is $900 (including labor) to have the ring replaced and they might as well replace the head gasket and the valve cover gasket too since the car already has 159k miles on it. It kinda sucks that I won't have enough money to buy for a new shocks :(

Not to mention that the repair will take 4 days so I will be hitching for rides for a while. I can pull my old car back from my uncle's yard but it needs a new muffler, I have to renew the plate and it's not covered by my insurance right now.
